Project Description:
The year of 2022 was declared "Year of Shusha" in the Republic of Azerbaijan by the order of President Ilham Aliyev and on this occasion Sonmaz Mashall Cultural Relations Public Union has realized a project entitled "The Clouded Mountains of Shusha" with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan in partnership with Public Television within the framework of which a feature-documentary film of the so-called title has been produced.
Sonmaz Mashall Cultural Relations Public Union has dubbed the film into English as a continuation of the project with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the project entitled “The History of Shusha in English”.
The feature-documentary film was narrated in English by David Sayce, one of the famous reporters of BBC television, and some other works such as editing and sound cleaning were performed in Public TV.
The Aim of the Project
The aim of the project is to provide foreign audience with broader information about the history of the city of Shusha, its being under Armenian occupation for 30 years, and emphasize the valor demonstrated by the victorious Azerbaijani army under the leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief to liberate the city from occupation.
The task of the project is to create a clear view in foreign audience about the history of Shusha, to emphasize the fact that Shusha is an Azerbaijani city.
For this purpose, the works by the famous Russian painter of the 19th century V. Verashagin, Russian military historian V. Potto and others have been used.
